The Cisco A9K-2X100GE-SE ASR 9000 Series 2-Port 100 GE Ethernet Line Card provides simultaneous support for Layer 2 and Layer 3 services and features, allowing for predictable, managed transport services while optimizing the use of network assets. The high-capacity features of the A9K-2X100GE-SE card are designed to keep up with the high performance demand required by many of today's network and cloud services traffic. These line cards deliver economical, scalable, highly available, line-rate Ethernet and IP/Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) edge services. Fully compatible with all Cisco ASR 9000 series chassis, route switch processors (RSPs), and line cards, it doesn't require any hardware upgrades to the chassis or cooling system. Total bandwidth is dependent on the number and type of RSPs installed. The Cisco ASR 9000 Series 2-Port 100 Gigabit Ethernet Line Cards are also fully compatible with the 22-slot Cisco ASR 9922 chassis. Packet Transport Optimized line cards are designed for network deployments where basic QoS is required.
