The Cisco Nexus 5548 Switch is a one-rack unit (1RU) 10 Gigabit Ethernet and FCoE switch offering up to 960-Gbps throughput and up to 48 ports. The switch has 32 1/10-Gbps fixed SFP + Ethernet and FCoE ports and one expansion slot. It provides efficiency and flexibility that today's successful Internet technology businesses require. The unified ports support a range of connection options, including Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet or Fibre Channel. The Cisco NSK-C5548P-FA adds versality by having the ability to use either fiber or copper lines which allows managers to upgrade their infrastructure with minimal expense. All serviceable components are accessible from the front panel, allowing the switch to be serviced while in operation and without disturbing network cabling.
